The new edition of Yukiko's Spinach was released in France on September 7, 2017 by Les Impressions Nouvelles, in its original format (French with Japanese subtitles), now fully revised and with additional material.
For the first anniversary of such a beautiful edition, I designed this new silkscreen on shikishi (traditional Japanese paperboard), in a very limited edition of 70 copies.
Three colors recreate the texture of the pencil drawing, taken from the original art for page 9 of Yukiko’s Spinach : a light yellowish gray, a medium gray and a slightly attenuated black.
